I was hit twice by the google pandas algorithm

This article tells a short story about a blog being punished by the Google Panda algorithm. It aims to tell us that the Google algorithm is not as perfect as we imagined, and we should not blindly make changes before we find out the problems of our website.
I haven't blogged anything in the past week for two reasons:

1. Extremely busy

2. Test my Google search traffic levels

More specifically, I tested Google search traffic levels to see if Google traffic would continue to increase without publishing any new blogs. My inference is: if it will increase, then I am more sure that I am recovering from the Pandas blow.

Actually, I think I was hit twice.

Google Panda algorithm update in Google Analytics

The graph below shows theGoogle/Natural SearchFor visits, I marked two obvious dips on the Google traffic graph.

You can see that at the bottom of the figure, I annotated the Google update algorithm (and recommend you to do the same). At the end of February and the beginning of March, after the Panda Algorithm 11 update, there was a downward trend. Google traffic was relatively stable until the second significant drop in early June, just after the Panda Algorithm 15 update.

Google traffic is down 14% compared to March and April, and 21% compared to May and June.

Why is this blog hit twice by the panda algorithm?

I am not sure.

The pandas algorithm is more content-related and less link-related, and I don't do anylink building, so I don't worry about anything link related.

Could it be the content? I don't find anything unusual about my blog, especially the posts from February to May.

So, I don't know why both pandas algorithm updates affect this blog.

What can I do to restore it?

There is no way.

Over the years, I've just been blogging like I used to. I waited patiently to see what would happen, luckily things have started to improve now.

As you can see from the graph below, my Google search traffic was up over 21% in October, almost as much as it was in June. I still have a way to get traffic to March levels.

What is the meaning of this story?

i think myblog contentNor is it worth getting hit by the Pandas algorithm, so maybe the moral of the story is:

1. Here is some evidence that Google algorithm changes are not perfect and sometimes have a negative impact on websites and should not be hit negatively.

2. It is not necessarily a good idea to solve problems that do not exist without reason or in a hurry.

Sometimes you have to trust that you are doing things the right way. Google screwed up, not you. I admit it's easier for me to have this attitude because I'm not likesmall business ownerRelying heavily on Google traffic also allowed me to really understand the meaning of the story.

Don't expect to get permanent free traffic from Google.

Worth it or not, Google can make any change at any time to the detriment of any business.

Blogging is either diverse or not.
